They say good things come to those who wait...
We have great news! After more than two and a half years of planning and searching, we have finally found suitable property for Wild Paws to call home!
Our offer has been accepted and we have a closing date set for early April! Wild Paws is purchasing 80 acres of land in western Wisconsin. The mix of open and wooded areas on the property is ideal to begin building habitats for the animals we will rescue and buildings such as a veterinary hospital, education center for visitors, and, eventually, intern housing so we can help provide an exceptional educational experience to those pursuing a profession in caring for animals.
The board of directors of Wild Paws Midwest Animal Sanctuary and many committee members have spent long hours developing our mission and have been fundraising with this goal in mind - to rescue and provide a safe habitat for wild animals using sustainable resources; to promote coexistence between humans and wildlife; and to educate the public about the preservation of wild animals and their ecosystems. Our vision is to end wildlife ownership and restore appropriate human-animal relationships. (Learn how you can join our mission.)
If you have been thinking about making a contribution to Wild Paws, now would be the perfect time to show your support! Any amount no matter how small will help us meet our goal - a safe place for wild animals in need. Donors, supporters, and volunteers are the heart and soul of any nonprofit. You can play a key role in the creation of this unique wild animal rescue and educational facility.
If you wish to make a contribution to our land fund, you can use our secure online donation form or send a check to Wild Paws Midwest Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 1027, Anoka, MN 55303.
